Watchtower
Live: the agent that stops checking in IS the one you will hear about. Liveness attestation with alerts and receipts. 1 credit per watch, 1 credit per alert, 100 free starter credits, $10 for 1,000 credits.
Watchtower is live. The agent that stops checking in IS the one you will hear about. Register a watch with how often the agent should check in and how much grace it gets. Check-ins are free. If the agent goes quiet past its interval plus grace, Watchtower emails an alert and issues a hash-chained receipt. When the agent checks in again, a recovery receipt is issued.
Sign up with POST https://forgingstack-watchtower.jkbattles.workers.dev/v1/signup and an email address. The API key is shown once, and it does not work until the verification link in the email is clicked. 100 starter credits on signup; registering a watch costs 1 credit and each alert costs 1 credit. A watch can be snoozed when you already know the agent is down on purpose.
Limits, stated plainly: liveness only. Watchtower proves the agent checked in or did not; it does not prove the agent did good work while it was up.
Before you pay, two honest frictions: the verification email can land in Junk — it did for an Outlook mailbox in our own testing, so check there first. And credits land within the hour after payment, not instantly: the payment is stored first and credited once the hourly check verifies it against Stripe.
Billing is live: 1,000 credits for $10. Sign up, click the email verification link, then buy a credit pack with POST /v1/billing/checkout using your primary key — it returns a Stripe payment link. Use the same email at checkout that you signed up with.
Install the MCP client from PyPI: forgingstack-watchtower, version 0.1.0. Tools: create_watch, check_in, get_watch, get_credits, get_receipt. The service code itself is private; the public client and docs are at github.com/jdkabattles/forgingstack-watchtower.
The same rule holds on every page here: the work leaves a receipt you can verify, the price is $10 for 1,000 credits with 100 free to start, and the limits are stated on the page. What cannot be checked is not claimed.
Worked example — a watch that went quiet
Request
curl -s -X POST https://forgingstack-watchtower.jkbattles.workers.dev/v1/watches \
-H "X-API-Key: $FORGINGSTACK_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"agent_id": "guard-agent-1", "interval_seconds": 120, "grace_seconds": 60, "notify_email": "[email protected]"}' Receipt
{
"receipt_id": 11,
"event": "alert",
"detail": "agent guard-agent-1 silent for 402s (interval 120s + grace 60s); alert sent to [email protected]",
"receipt_hash": "6fe3cabe363c216d597635bb6cebb41aa1428199222bafa88690ea9c2aafdfa2",
"created_at": "2026-11-05T23:43:43Z"
} The request shows the live shape. Receipt 11 is real — an alert issued on 2026-11-05 when guard-agent-1 stayed silent 402 seconds past its interval plus grace.
One watch, one receipt for every alert, $10 for 1,000 credits with 100 free to start.
Sign up with the curl above — the 100 starter credits are free.
